Remember the days where you feel like the richest man alive with your trendy and flipping phones? Well, with the advent of smartphones, we kind of forgot the days when foldable or flip phones reigned globally. But just recently, these flip phones have now merged into smartphones, giving birth to today’s foldable smartphones. Aside from their bending screens, they are now powered by the Android OS and are very promising especially in gaming. Here are some of the most popular folding smartphones in the market today.

Samsung Fold

Unveiled during the one of Samsung’s developer conferences, the Samsung Galaxy Fold became a reality after just being a rumor for a long time already. It has a 4.6-inch touch screen that can extend to 7.3 inches. It is being powered by a 7nm Exynos CPU, 12 GB RAM, and up to 512 GB worth of internal storage. Capture the best selfies and landscapes with its six cameras. It can also run up to three apps when using the device on its full potential. The downside is that its memory cannot be expanded using microSD.

Huawei Mate X

Despite facing some disputes versus the US government, Huawei has revealed their own version of foldable smartphone. Named the Mate X, it has a 6.6-inch screen and a 6.38-inch screen on both exterior sides. It forms an 8-inch display when opened. Aside from its seamless body, the Mate X also boasts the best specs like its juicy battery with built-in fast 55-watt charging, Huawei’s top-of-the-line Kirin 980 CPU, and is also 5G-enabled.

Royole FlexPai

Exclusively available for developers in China, Royole takes pride in the world’s first folding smartphone available to the general public through their FlexPai model. Its 7.8-inch large screen can be folded into half. The downside to this flip smartphone is it’s bulky build and its inability to fold completely.
